First Champions Crowned:
The Division I Finals are over and our 1st Playoff Champs have been decided. Friar Tuck’s completed the sweep of Thunder in their best-of-5 Championship Round on Wednesday night to cap off their unbeaten season.
On the Consolation side of Division I, Havana Blast have their backs to the wall against Misfits in what could turn into a 2 game finish between the teams. Misfits remain unbeaten in these playoffs, while Blast carries 1 loss into their game tonight (a 2nd loss for any team in the Consolation Rounds of these playoffs signals an end to their season). This is sure to be an exciting finish as Blast swept the season series but Misfits prevailed the last time these teams met in this playoffs. Stay tuned …
Division II:
The Pour House / Guelph Brewers best-of-5 Championship Series is off to a great start, with the visiting team taking the game in each of the 1st 2 matches. They continue their series tied at 1 game apiece with game 3 scheduled for tonight.
The Consolation series has turned into a 3 team race with the early elimination of Sandlot and I. C. Tile & Stone. Sweaty Mitts has the early edge as they remained unbeaten following the 1st round. They face Swamp Donkeys tonight with the potential of eliminating them but, should Donkeys prevail tonight, the 3rd game of this 2nd round would see either Long Shots or Sweaty Mitts being eliminated. If Sweaty Mitts win the matchup tonight, Long Shots would then need to beat Mitts twice to win the round.
Masters Division
Touch of Grey took game 1 of the best-of-5 Championship Series over Domino’s Pizza, but Domino’s is looking to bounce back tonight in hopes of evening up the series. They continue with game 3 on Wednesday night.
Masters 45
Rangers continue their domination of Barzotti Masters as they take an early 2 – 0 lead in their Championship Series. Rangers won 4 of 5 in the regular season and will be looking for the sweep in these playoffs – but don’t count Barzotti out just yet. Game 3 goes tonight and will continue on Wednesday should Barzotti come up with the win.
Prizing
Some of our prizing has already been distributed out at the diamonds while some remains to be delivered from NSA.

Divisional Winners
The hoodies for 1st place in each of the divisions have been sent to get embroidered and are not expected for at least another week. I am still waiting on some sizes from NSA Canada, so you’ll have to bear with me. Divisional winners also receive a League Credit in the amount of $300.

Playoff Winners
The playoff prizing (warm-up jackets for Division I and Masters, heavy
-weight Canada jerseys for Division II and Masters 45) still hasn’t been delivered for embroidery and will take a little longer. Playoff Champs win a League Credit of $200.

Runner-Up & Consolation Winners
I have been out at the diamonds delivering some of the prizing (divisional
runners-up) to teams that are still out there, but have yet to finalize arrangements for getting the stuff to teams that have been eliminated. I will have some of the Consolation prizing with me tonight but am still waiting on some sizes to be delivered. Consolation winners also receive a $100 League Credit to be applied to next year.
I’ll be in contact with the remaining winning teams when all of their prizes have been delivered.
