This was sent out today to all team reps in the coed league – but it applies equally to both leagues.
Let me remind you that the unseasonably, cold, windy and rainy weather we’ve experienced early in this season is part of the norm for May for the past few years.
I just want to make it clear that the league has a very tight schedule and we need to stick to it as much as possible.
- The only conditions that are acceptable to call a game are:
- - The City closes the field.
- - The UMPIRE deems the FIELD condition unplayable.
- - There is lightning in the area.
- - The league Executive calls the game for whatever reason.
Please do your best to stick with this as we have limited dates available for rainouts – never mind for games that are called because it is too cold to play.
Thank you,
Bruce
This was in response to the cancellation of a few games while other games played on the next diamond. While some games are still to be determined as to whether they will be rescheduled, any other games that have been cancelled for legitimate reasons, such as “the lights didn’t work” (and have since been fixed), will be rescheduled at a later date. The open diamonds are visible for all to see on the Master Schedules (both leagues), so you can be confident that no games will be rescheduled for any time soon.
Thanks, everyone, for your cooperation.
