<description>Bruce and I were out there last night fixing the bases. We found that many screws were missing from the underside of the bases. We have done what we can but we need to consider purchasing new bases for next year. We have got 5 years out of these sets, so it was money well spent.

Also, we found every in ground anchor with the exception of 3rd on GG7, and 2nd on GG4. Both of these were replace 4 weeks ago by Marc and myself as the City had ripped them out of the ground and left them in the bunkies for us, but failed to inform us that this had happened. This time, they actually twisted 3rd on 7 so badly that it broke off 6&quot; underground and now has the appearance of a stake instead of an anchor. 2nd on GG4 is missing again as well, but this time, they did not leave it in the bunkie for us and it&#039;s gone.

I have inquired to the gentleman that made these for us but he is unable to assist us again as his welder has left town. Does anyone know of a welder that could make us 2 in ground anchors? If so, e-mail me and we will get them made this weekend.

All of the first base pegs were there as of 5:30 last night with the exception of 1 missing on GG4. GG5 and GG6 were actually left in the ground! Everyone needs to ensure that when you put the bases away, the ONLY thing that should be left on the diamonds is the plugs in the holes. NOT the magnetic post of 2nd or 3rd, and NOT the white first base pegs.... this is how they get destroyed by the city when they gill the diamonds.

We have some ideas on different in ground anchors but these would not be able to be installed until the spring after we make our determination on new bases and what in ground anchors are required.

As stated in the original post:

We can’t keep on top of repairs if we don’t know that there’s a problem!

Thanks,
