Well the weather played it’s usual tricks on us with cold and wet conditions all weekend, but it didn’t seem to dampen the efforts of some teams.

Congratulations to all teams on another great year. We had our bumps but were able to get “most” of the games in without issue.

D Division

BOHICA and Left Stranded continued their Regular Season success with 1st and 2nd seed finishes in the odd side of the preliminary round. On the even side, 2nd place Lucky Mitts managed to advance – but gave up the top seed to The Roasters, who went unbeaten in the opening round of the tourney.

The Semi-Finals saw some very tight games, with Lucky Mitts knocking off top seeded BOHICA and The Roasters continuing their charmed day with a close win over Left Stranded. And what would a charmed day be if it didn’t end charmed? The Roasters knocked off Lucky Mitts in the Final 17-14 to take the tourney title!

C Division

The regular season race was tight – with SOX2BU winning on a tie breaker formula – so they came into this tourney as the favorite. They managed to carry on that success through the preliminary round, going 3-0 in their bracket. Bulldogs only loss came against Sox2BU in their advance. Scared Hitless went unbeaten on the even side of the bracket to take 2nd seed, with Hackers completing the Semi-Finalists group.

Both higher seeded teams managed to continue their success through the Semi-Finals, setting up a Sox2BU vs. Scared Hitless Final. Unfortunately, Scared Hitless lived up to their name and were beaten 12-6 by the Sox2BU bunch.

B Division

Another tight race for the top two teams in the division, with Team Awesome edging out Nissan in the tie breaker. After being rained out on Tuesday and all the schedule juggling that entailed, strange things happened in the tourney for this division. Hartec took 1st seed from way down in the pack with their 3-1 record and superior +/- over Hab / Hab Nots on the odd side. Not to be outdone, Gremlins came off their 10th place finish in the season and took 2nd seed with a 3-0-1 record on the even side. Nissan advanced as you would expect from a 2nd place team.

Nissan continued to fight and edged out a win over Hartec to advance to the final. The Gremlins regular season was just a distant memory after going undefeated through the round robin to advance and continue their Cinderella story with a victory over Hab / Hab Nots and a berth in the Finals. Alas, the slipper came off (sorry … it was just there!) and Nissan took the Final in a close fought 12-8 game.

A Division

Another undefeated regular season for X. Impressive stats, winning the division 7 years in a row and dominating the playoffs since 2007.

The round robin made for some interesting games as it really came down to the final round and who wanted it more. The hungry No Pepper gang squeaked out a 2nd place finish while the Dirt Squirrels took a cool 3-0 through the round robin. On the other side, X continued their pattern with a 3-0 round and Mortgage Architects may have surprised more than just themselves in advancing to the Semi Finals.

The Semi-Finals presented a slightly different picture as No Pepper finally managed to notch a win over X to advance to the Finals. Mortgage Architects came out hot when they needed it most, upsetting Dirt Squirrels in the second extra inning of a tight fought game.

In the Final, No Pepper took full advantage of their earlier momentum and the exhausted Mortgage Architects and beat them 11-3 to take the tournament crown.
